How it works
Step 1:
Intake
Fill out a short online questionaire and secure a date for an initial consult with a Scrubs provider. We will assess your loved one’s eligibility for the program and work with you to develop a personalized program.
We deliver compassionate care for your loved one in the comfort and safety of their home.
Step 2:
Visits
Once the Wellness Check program begins, your loved one will receive weekly visits by a medical professional. The visits will be tailored to their needs and can include anything in the team’s scope of practice.
Step 3:
Reporting
As your loved one’s authorized representative, you will receive updates and can message the care team directly to ask questions, make requests or simply check in on your loved one.
Step 4:
Support
The health of senior family members can change quickly and our flexible approach ensures we are always providing the appropriate level of care. Extra support can be secured with a few clicks.

Nurse scope of practice includes lab work, injections, IV treatments, wound care, checking vital signs, reviewing medication and more. Certain services may involve additional time or charges for supplies.

Scrubs-affiliated providers are registered to provide services throughout Alberta. Currently, mobile lab service is available in Calgary and area. A travel surcharge based on distance is added for service to Okotoks, Cochrane, Canmore, Banff and other rural areas. Prescription delivery is free.

The fees include a personalized treatment plan, and weekly 60 minute home visits in the Calgary area by a medical professional.

Certain services may be eligible under Blue Cross and other government plans for senior home care. Contact your benefits provider to check your coverage. The Scrubs care team will happily help you explore options for coverage.
